Welcome to Sterns Creek Farm!Located on the historic Acquibob Horse Farm, Sterns Creek Farm is being dreamed as a space where agriculture and community come together. Personally, we want fresh produce, flowers, and reconnecting with nature to be experienced by all our neighbors. We’re exploring what a local farm can offer in the middle of Churchland and Western Branch. That might look like you-pick produce or cut flowers, seedling starts for your home gardens, space for dogs to run, gardening classes, or small seasonal gatherings. We think that all sounds great! But, we'd prefer hearing from you what options you would like to experience most from a farm down the street? We hope to create a space to slow down, reconnect with the land, and help shape something grounded in community for all.One neighbor at a time.
About
Acquibob Farm is a family-owned working farm located in Chesapeake, Virginia, established in 1942. The farm originated as a cattle ranch by the Saunders Family. Acquibob has been in the same family for three generations and over the years has turned from cattle to Arabian horses and now they have a wide variety of horses, cows, chickens and more.Horses are still here, but the younger generation is more interested in what the fields can grow for our community.Jeff was born and raised in Western Branch and grew up being loved on by the Saunders/Hill family at Acquibob. Jenny moved to the region in 2016, met Jeff in 2021, and they got married in 2023. Jeff brought Jenny to the farm, and she fell in love with the family and open space. She's the "crazy" one who thinks other women, and men, need access to green spaces, fresh produce they picked, and opportunities to feel connected to their neighbors. Will you join them in dreaming of what you think the community needs from the Farm?
